Payment in full is due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made with “Outsource Locally” management and specified in writing on a signed Work Order, and charges are binding whether service is successful or not. At our sole discretion, we reserve the right to refuse work that we believe is beyond the scope of our ability or equipment, or for other good cause.

Disassembly of computers, particularly laptops, netbooks or handhelds, can often expose previously undiscovered problems. These may include, but are by no means limited to: damage to connectors and cables, case and body parts, and damage caused by overheating or liquid spills. The Client assumes the full risk that reassembly and full function of the computer may not be possible without first repairing these issues, and the Client could be responsible for any and all charges resulting from those repairs.

Computers often require a repair that is not immediately obvious. A unit will sometimes display symptoms that indicate the need for a repair, and only after applying that repair can it be determined that further repair is still needed. A Client may choose at that point not to proceed with further repair, but is still responsible for parts and labor invested in the original repair, whether the unit has been restored to full function or not.

“Outsource Locally” provide an estimated completion date for services, but unforseen circumstances can impact our ability to complete those services in the time estimated, especially if parts must be ordered or the unit was badly damaged prior to check in.

Any time a computer is accessed, there is a negligible risk of data loss or program corruption. This risk is greatly increased when the unit has been infected with viruses, spyware or other malicious software. These can damage the OS (operating system), software and/or data installed on a computer and may require re-installation of the OS and/or programs at additional cost. In such cases, personal data may not be recoverable. If data recovery service is requested there is still a possibility that individual files and directories on the disk may be inaccessible due to damage or malfunction, or corruption of the partition or file structure. Specialized data recovery services are available.

Clients may be asked to demonstrate ownership of any software that is to be installed or re-installed on a computer by bringing in the original installation materials and/or appropriate data keys and serial numbers. Outsource Locally is not responsible if Client has not retained these items and may have to pay applicable charges if software licenses must be obtained in order to restore original function.

Occasionally, Outsource Locally technicians may inadvertantly see Client data during the course of work. Such data is treated in strict confidence in accordance with best business practice, and State, Federal and local law. We suggest that Clients remove any files that they consider private.

If the Client does not pick up their equipment within sixty (60) days after notification that service is complete, Outsource Locally will treat that equipment as abandoned. Outsource Locally will not be responsible for any damage or claim for abandoned property. Any and all charges are still the Client’s reponsibility.
